Drywall day 2

Second floor is done, progress on main floor today. They were working in the kitchen and family room when we stopped by so we didn't get pictures of those rooms. Here's what was easy to see.  Also, Matt was able to clear a blockage in the overflow drain for the pond over the weekend, and it already seems so much clearer (no significant rain the past week or two probably helps). If it looks jungle-y, that's because it is. We have mowers scheduled to do a clean up around the banks tomorrow.

Drywall day 1

We're temporarily stalled on siding; waiting for the accent materials to arrive, I guess (shakes for the peak and board & batten for front porch/front wall of the garage). All of the horizontal lap siding is up and looks great.  Today they started hanging drywall - what a difference inside!  Most of the second floor was hung today and the crew was still working at 7 tonight when we left.

Siding progress, insulation complete

All the spray foam and batt insulation is done. Lots of progress on the siding, too. The entire back of the house and most of the playroom side are done. Front is being done last because we decided to change the front design a bit, but it should be done soon, too.

The batt insulation is done and spray foam (for attic and garage ceiling under the master) started yesterday. More siding is up at the back of the house - very excited to see that progress. We got a few more interior photos today before drywall goes up. We're not sure what day that will start but it should be soon.
