Lighting & Plumbing fixtures, Metal roof

Noticeable changes today! Most of our light fixtures were hung up: bedroom ceiling fans, breakfast, dining room, and foyer lights. Still waiting for the kitchen pendants, vanity lights in the bathrooms, and the family room and front porch fans.  They also pulled down plastic from the windows and cabinets in the rooms where they're finished using the sprayer. The last phase of paint is all brushes and rollers.  They were working on the 2-story trim today as well which is a big job.

The plumber installed all the sink faucets and shower/tub trim pieces and we're happy with those. I forgot to take a picture of the kitchen sink but there is so much junk parked on the island right now it wouldn't have been a great picture anyway. Toilets are supposed to go in Monday I believe. We have a big utility tub in the garage too but we forgot to look in there tonight and I also forgot to get a photo of the new concrete sidewalk and garage pad!

The biggest change is on the outside where the metal porch roof finally went up! Just in time for the rain we're expecting from Hurricane Matthew. Tomorrow and Saturday will be rain days here so we're not expecting a ton of progress while the storm rolls past. Maybe more paint.

  1. I'm a fan of Grandma's fan! I'm loving all of your lighting choices--so elegant! I hope seeing all of this in person gives you a sense of completion--all of your dreams becoming reality.
